The police of 8 districts of Punjab launched an operation to arrest Amritpal. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Punjab Police stopped the internet services. Along with the paramilitary forces laid siege to Amritpal's native village Jallupur Kheda.'वारिस पंजाब दे' प्रमुख अमृतपाल सिंह के खिलाफ पंजाब पुलिस की बड़ी कार्रवाई की. पंजाब में बड़े स्तर पर सर्च ऑपरेशन जारी है, जगह जगह पर नाकेबंदी की जा रही है. पंजाब पुलिस ने कट्टरपंथी समर्थक अमृतपाल सिंह को भगोड़ा घोषित कर दिया है. पंजाब के 8 जिलों की पुलिस ने अमृतपाल की गिरफ्तारी के लिए ऑपरेशन चलाया. मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पंजाब पुलिस ने इंटरनेट सेवाओं को बंद कर दिया. अर्धसैनिक बलों के साथ मिलकर अमृतपाल के पैतृक गांव जल्लूपुर खेड़ा की घेराबंदी की.
